Using the same modular system of the bench designed for the Sublimation Garden, we designed an entrance area for the Academy of Art’s 2015 Spring Show. The goal of this space was to create a welcoming entrance that represented the Academy of Art University as well as provide a cheerful experience for users. This modular bench was 87 feet long with interspersed planters and made of CNC routed plywood, wood glue and douglas fir 4x4s.
